Lovely place to eat after an hike ! Really good deinks and crescia
STU PEN DO
After a walk around Mount Pietralata, with wonderful views, we stopped at the "il kiosco delle eagle" restaurant and here too, during a flaky piadina and some kebabs, we enjoyed beautiful views.
We had high expectations for this place (compliments to the social media manager), but they were promptly denied. Arriving around 8.10pm we stood in front of the counter and (miraculously I would say because those after us also waited for this) they showed us the table we had booked. We waited about half an hour in the meantime calling the waitress twice and despite this she told us that she would arrive immediately (the basics for those who have worked in catering is to at least ask what we want to drink shortly after arriving). After a good half hour he comes to us asking us what we wanted to eat, without explaining to us that the menu is on the wall at the entrance and leaving us rather annoyed. The piadinas (2) arrived half an hour later. Mine, in particular, herbs and cheese, was practically only with herbs, the other with ham was average. The prices are low, but after a trek we expected to eat quickly (after all, we ordered 2 piadinas!), and certainly better service. The staff is definitely not qualified (which does not mean rude or informal, but just not suitable in my opinion, and having worked in catering I have seen several in the dining room).
Then if we want to be honest in a reserve near Pietralata and Furlo (but it should be a general thing) no more plastic with disposable cutlery. Or is the mountain just a social attraction?
P.S. Another thing: put the signs for the toilet at the main entrance, not towards the hay tables, so it's useless! Then don't get angry if someone makes a mistake at the entrance
To conclude, if you like looking at the view and have understood (because in this place you have to guess) how it works for eating you are good to go (maybe), but arm yourself with healthy patience.
PS: If you leave a negative review on Facebook they'll even block you!
The road to get to the kiosk is very narrow and with poorly laid asphalt, but by being careful and going slowly you can get there. Kind owners, nice outdoor kiosk with a very beautiful and relaxing panoramic view. We ate a quick sandwich as a hunger-breaker, which was normal. It's not right around the corner, but if you're in the area
We found ourselves by chance in this small village last Sunday, after a pleasant walk on the Pietralata, still taking advantage of the good weather. Pleasant discovery. An enchanting view over the entire valley, seen from San Marino to Mount Cucco, incredible. Excellent crescia and fabulous kebabs, delicious grilled vegetables. Think that where the kiosk is now there was once an elementary school. There is also a small church and the fortification wall on the rock, wonderful.
Young and willing kids who care about their roots. Well done!
Top quality/price ratio which nowadays is not at all a given.
This restaurant is just horrible. It is extremely expensive, you nearly pay minimum 30 Euros per person and simply get plastic plates, everything served on plastic, not even ice in your overpriced coca cola. The meat and the rest of the food was good, but not worth the money. We are not sure if we had to pay more because they thought they could trick tourists, but stay away from the place!!!!
